Rory E. Foster, Associate

Biography

Rory E. Foster is a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group, focusing on patent prosecution, litigation, intellectual property licensing, transactional due diligence, and other intellectual property issues.

Mr. Foster's experience includes the prosecution of patent applications in a variety of technology classes; the preparation of infringement, invalidity, and freedom-to-operate opinions; and the licensing of rights in patents, software, and other intellectual property. Mr. Foster has provided intellectual property due diligence for various stock and asset purchase transactions, including the merger of multi-national Fortune 500® manufacturers, and has both drafted and negotiated intellectual property provisions for the associated agreements. He has also counseled clients regarding government rights in inventions and data, including government rights under SBIR and other grant programs.
