Professional Experience
Sarah Fowles is an attorney in the Firm’s Labor and Employment practice group. She practices in all areas of employee benefits including qualified retirement plans, welfare plans, executive compensation and equity compensation. Her employee benefits experience includes:

  • Drafting 409A-compliant compensation arrangements.

  • Assisting clients navigate employee benefits, executive compensation and equity compensation issues arising in both stock and asset purchases.

  • Providing advice to clients regarding compliance with group health plan mandates and welfare plan nondiscrimination rules.

  • Drafting qualified retirement plan documents.

  • Submitting qualified retirement plan documents for IRS determination letters.

  • Guiding clients through correction procedures for operational and documentary failures with respect to qualified retirement plans, and submitting, where necessary, Voluntary Compliance Program applications.

  • Representing clients in IRS retirement plan audits.
