Six From Quarles & Brady Earn “Certified E-Discovery Specialists” Designation
Firm has the Largest Number of CEDS in the World
MILWAUKEE, WIS. — Quarles & Brady LLP announced that six members of the Firm’s Records Retention and Electronic Discovery group earned the designation of Certified E-Discovery Specialist (“CEDS”) from the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (“ACEDS”). These six are part of the inaugural class of professionals who took the ACEDS’s independent certification examination.
“E-discovery is a critical emerging skill essential to managing e-data and controlling costs for clients,” says William Hamilton, partner and head of the Records Retention and Electronic Discovery group. “We are excited to have more professionals certified in e-discovery than any other company or law firm.”

The rigorous examination was developed by a team of 40 e-discovery experts convened by the ACEDS. With more than 560 secure ACEDS-Kryterion Testing Centers around the world, the examination tests a candidate’s knowledge in areas from cost controls, litigation and preservation holds, budgeting and ethics to project management, technology, data culling, document reviews and cross-border discovery. ACEDS is holding its Annual E-Discovery Conference in Hollywood, Florida March 23-25, where Hamilton will serve as one of the expert speakers on e-discovery.
