Two Quarles & Brady Attorneys Named "2011 Leaders in the Law"
MILWAUKEE, WIS. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that partner Walter J. Skipper and retired partner Bruce C. Davidson were named “2011 Leaders in the Law” by the
Wisconsin Law Journal. Mr. Davidson has also been recognized with a Lifetime Achievement award for his career and its lasting imprint on the state’s law community.
The “2011 Leaders in the Law” honorees are attorneys who have demonstrated their outstanding leadership, vision and legal expertise in Wisconsin’s law community. They will be recognized at a reception on Wednesday, February 16.
Walter J. Skipper, a partner in the Corporate Services Practice Group, focuses his practice on business law and helps resolve business disputes for businesses of all sizes. He has experience in numerous business matters including, formation, financing, securities issuances, expansion of a business through acquisition or merger, sale of business, going public, spin-offs, recapitalizations and reorganizations, and going private. Mr. Skipper also assists with corporate governance and compliance planning. He earned his law degree,
magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School and his undergraduate degree,
magna cum laude, from Marquette University.
Bruce C. Davidson, a retired partner from the Corporate Services Practice Group, is a former member and chair of Quarles & Brady’s Corporate Finance/Securities Team. A significant portion of his practice involved representation of clients subject to regulation by the Securities and Exchange Commission, and he has extensive experience representing publicly held companies with respect to public and private offerings of securities, general securities law compliance, corporate governance and business combination transactions. Mr. Davidson earned his law degree,
cum laude, from Harvard Law School and his undergraduate degree,
magna cum laude, from Marist College.
