Steven M. DeVougas, Associate

Biography

Steven DeVougas focuses his practice in the areas of litigation, product liability, and toxic tort. His litigation strategies have resulted in favorable settlements, obtaining judgment, and winning decisions at the state and federal court level.

Steven served as second chair for the medical malpractice trial Parker v. Ward, M.D. (Milwaukee County, defense verdict). He also briefed the motion to dismiss, resulting in the dismissal of 100 plaintiffs from the lawsuit with claims of increased risk of contracting cancer, which was affirmed by the Wisconsin Court of Appeals.

Prior to joining the firm, he was with Hinshaw & Culbertson, LLP. Before earning his law degree, he worked in the financial services industry with Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (M&I Bank), now BMO Harris Bank.
