Two Quarles & Brady Attorneys Receive Volunteer Service Award
 

PHOENIX, ARIZ. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady announced that Susan Brichler Trujillo and Marian M. Zapata-Rossa, received the President’s Volunteer Service Award from the Arizona State Bar for their pro bono work with the Wills for Heroes® program.

Susan Brichler Trujillo practices in the areas of health law and litigation & dispute resolution. Her practice includes the representation of commercial health care clients in contract and employment discrimination disputes, licensing and regulatory issues, and litigation matters and the representation of commercial clients and health care professionals before state agencies and regulatory boards. She earned her law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School and her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Arizona.

Marian M. Zapata-Rossa practices in the area of labor and employment law. Her experience includes representing employers before various government agencies; defending employers in settlement, arbitration, mediation and litigation; and advising employers on current trends and compliance with state and federal employment laws. She currently serves on the board and as treasurer of the Los Abogados Hispanic Bar Association. She earned her law degree, cum laude, from Howard University School of Law and her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from the Ohio State University.

The Wills for Heroes® program operates in ten states and provides free estate planning documents for first responders; police officers, firefighters, corrections officers and paramedics. Documents include wills, living wills and powers of attorney. The Wills for Heroes® volunteers are attorneys that donate more than 100 volunteer hours to the program. The award is presented in recognition and appreciation of their commitment to strengthening the Nation and for making a difference through volunteer service.
