“Co-working space” is broadly defined as office space where individuals or companies rent desks or cubicles on either a monthly or daily basis. Landlords generally lease space through a license agreement with tenants, who are usually called members. Co-working spaces typically feature open layouts, much like a large coffee shop. Most co-working spaces offer services in addition to a place to work, such as community mixers, classes, speaker panels and introductions to business leaders.
