Changing Worlds is a Chicago based organization formed to foster inclusive communities through oral history, writing and art programs that improve student learning, affirm identity and enhance cross-cultural understanding. Its unique programming approach integrates cultural, family and community histories with writing and the arts to help participants explore their own backgrounds, promote peace and learning about others while strengthening their academic and arts learning skills. Changing Worlds' interconnected program areas include in-school and after school partnerships with the Chicago Public Schools, teacher professional development workshops and community outreach initiatives such as traveling exhibits, short term programs and special events. Ms. Mazura has served on Changing Worlds' Board of Directors since 2013.
American Bar Foundation
The American Bar Foundation is the nation's leading research institute for the empirical study of the law. An independent,non-profit organization for more than 50 years, ABF seeks to advance the understanding and improvement of law through research projects of unmatched scale and quality on the most pressing issues facing the legal system in the United States and the world. Ms. Mazura is a Sustaining Life Fellow of the ABF, and since 2004, has served the ABF on a pro bono basis.
Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education (IICLE)
Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting development of Illinois attorneys through Illinois-focused practice guidance. IICLE offers live courses each year on important practice topics, has published practice handbooks for Illinois lawyers and maintains an extensive on-line research library that contains all current publications and forms. Ms.Mazura is an IICLE author and speaker and served on its Board from 1998 until 2010 and as its Chair from 2008-2009.
