In addition to her legal practice, Alyce has been active in firm management and in formal and informal mentoring of other attorneys. She has also been an active member of the professional community:
Wisconsin State Bar Association’s Health Law and Immigration Law Sections: Alyce served as a member and council person, president elect, president, and past president of the Health Law Section, and as co-chair of the Immigration Committee. She also served as a member of the International Practice Section.
American Immigration Lawyers Association’s Wisconsin Chapter and National Board: Alyce served as secretary and chair of the Wisconsin Chapter and ex officio on the National Board.
U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Ad Hoc Advisory Committee on Adverse Reactions to Food Substances: Appointed as the consumer representative on this committee, Alyce was instrumental in drafting the committee’s final recommendations to the FDA.
Association of Private Assisted Reproductive Technology Clinics and Laboratories: Alyce was a founding board member of this international organization and also served as its legal advisor.
Wisconsin Consumer Oriented and Operated Health Plan (COOP): Alyce helped to form the Wisconsin health plan, which included a successful application to the federal government for a $54 million startup loan.
Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics: Alyce was a member of the Editorial Board of this peer-reviewed medical publication and served as a referee for that journal.
