Amalia Todryk is Chair of the firm's Estate, Trust & Wealth Preservation Groups in Milwaukee and Madison. Amalia's clients consist of owners and operators of closely held businesses/family businesses, wealthy families, executives of large companies and professionals. Amalia's practice focuses on estate planning, counseling owners of family and closely held businesses on succession planning, leveraged gift techniques, probate, estate and trust administration, retirement planning, and preparing various types of federal and state tax returns.

Clients appreciate her practical approach to legal matters, her ability to explain complex legal topics in a clear and concise manner, and her responsiveness. Amalia views her role as that of a trusted advisor to her clients and their families.

Representative Matters

  • Creating tax efficient estate plans and preparing wills, trusts, marital agreements, and powers of attorney to carry them out
  • Counseling owners of family and closely held businesses on succession planning and ownership structures designed to facilitate gift and estate planning transfers
  • Implementing sophisticated gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning techniques to minimize the impact of taxes on transfers of wealth from generation to generation
  • Administering estates and trusts, and advising personal representatives and trustees on fiduciary duties and income tax and accounting matters
  • Preparing and defending on audit federal and state estate tax, gift tax, and fiduciary income tax returns
  • Assisting with charitable estate planning techniques
