Ami Zaveri, Associate

Biography

Ami Zaveri has significant and diverse experience negotiating and structuring complex procurement and commercial transactions, driving contract process improvement, and providing legal services to Fortune 500 companies, global corporate clients, and privately-held businesses in a variety of industry sectors, including healthcare, technology, mining, and agriculture. Her experience includes advising clients’ in-house counsel and business stakeholders on matters related to technology agreements, software licensing, SaaS, IaaS, EULAs, business and technology outsourcing, professional services, proof of concepts, joint development and related intellectual property matters, and non-disclosure agreements.

Ami also has wide-ranging experience working on data privacy and compliance matters implicating global and domestic privacy laws such as GDPR, CCPA, PDPA, PIPEDA and HIPAA. She has drafted and negotiated data privacy and security-related agreements, counseled clients on data protection strategies, and assisted clients in developing and implementing privacy and security policies.  

Ami most recently served as in-house counsel for a privately-held healthcare solutions and revenue cycle management company, where she gained experience with business entity formation as well as with federal and state healthcare regulatory matters related to HIPAA, ERISA, anti-kickback statutes, and physician self-referral statutes. Her prior work experience also includes fulfilling a six-month secondment with an international metal and mining company’s legal department, leading and managing a team of lawyers to provide commercial contracting services to global clients, serving as a judicial law clerk at the Massachusetts Superior Court, and completing a judicial internship for the Honorable Robert B. Collings, Federal Magistrate Judge in Boston, Massachusetts.
