Biography
Bailey Walden assists hospitals, hospital systems, practitioners, pharmacies, and prescription drug distributors with health care transactions and various regulatory and compliance matters, including those arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. Bailey has experience with the following issues:
- Telemedicine regulations
- Provider licensure and credentialing, including disaster and emergency practitioner privileging in light of the coronavirus
- Corrective action and peer review
- EMTALA
- Medicare Conditions of Participation
- HIPAA
- Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) blanket waivers for hospitals, critical access hospitals, and health systems, including but not limited to telehealth, EMTALA, and privileging waivers
- Provisions of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and Families First Response Act (FFRCA) that impact hospitals and health systems
- Federal and state pharmaceutical laws and regulations
- DEA requirements for controlled substance distribution and prescription dispensing
