Benjamin A. Lockwood, Associate


Benjamin Lockwood is an attorney in the firm's Health & Life Sciences Practice Group and Data Privacy & Security Industry Team. His experience includes:

  • Preparing and analyzing internal data privacy and security policies
  • Drafting and revising HIPAA Business Associate agreements
  • Assisting clients who have been affected by data breaches with investigations, incident responses, and notifications to individuals and regulators
  • Helping clients navigate Medicare and Medicaid licensure requirements, including preparing and filing applications, researching various legal requirements, and communicating directly with state Medicaid offices
  • Researching issues related to health care fraud and abuse
  • Developing 50-state surveys on various topics, including state Board of Pharmacy actions and rule changes initiated in response to the COVID-19 pandemic

Ben was previously a winter associate and a summer associate with Quarles & Brady.
