Brian Pacilio is a Patent Engineer in the Intellectual Property Group whose focus area is IP strategic counseling.
Brian is a biomedical engineer who gained engineering and manufacturing experience with a leading medical device manufacturer. Through his work there, Brian generated technical summaries of patent novelty, researched infringement claims, wrote technical testing procedures and other forms of technical documentation, designed and developed an automated distribution system to increase workflow efficiencies, and gained proficiency in Derwent Innovation software and multiple programming languages. He also conducted prior art searches to assess initial freedom to operate positions.
While at Marquette University, Brian was awarded the "Excellence in Biorobotics" for the design of a neural-impulse actuated orthotic. He was an active mentor to undergraduates in the areas of medical device design and intellectual property awareness.
