In this Spring 2018 conference panel discussion, we will get into the weeds on breach reporting and the events that lead to breach notification. Panelists from small to large covered entities will discuss a number of issues, including tools for handling privacy breaches and risk assessments (e.g., maintaining consistency, documentation, and tracking key indicators), use of internal and external resources to handle big breaches, and the specifics of communicating breaches to affected individuals. We will also discuss audience perspectives on balancing the ever increasing interest in technology with associated privacy risks as well as handling breach reporting and risk management for breaches caused by business associates.
