The complimentary webinar and discussion, What Every GC, Board, and Corporation Needs to Know About Diversity, Equity and Inclusion - Part Two: A Call To Action, was moderated by Cornell Boggs, Quarles & Brady Of Counsel & Sr. Strategic Advisor and Dawn Haghighi, EVP & GC at PVC Murcor and Chair of the ACC Women In The House Network with introductory remarks from Elena Antonetti, Chair, Real Estate Network, and Erik Lindberg Immediate Past Chair, Real Estate Network.

Cornell briefly reviewed and discussed the key takeaways from Part One where he covered how legal professionals need to find ways to strategically support the career journeys of under-represented attorneys in order for their careers to be successful, particularly at a time when companies are seeking to make measurable changes in the area of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Part Two of the webinar allowed attendees to hear how DEI has been a part of the professional and life journeys of six diverse Quarles & Brady attorneys. Utilizing 10 minute breakout sessions, Li Zhu, Marian LaLonde, Everett Ward, William Walden, Nicholas Meza and Parwana Noorzad shared their stories, including their backgrounds, respective practice areas, and how Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion has impacted their professional lives. These informal discussion groups provided direct feedback and dialogue for attendees considering their own DEI corporate cultures and programs.
