At the March 30, 2022 Kentucky Board of Pharmacy meeting, the Regulation Committee reported on its March 15 meeting where it discussed the new proposed non-resident pharmacy permit regulation. The Committee requested direction from the Board on several issues including: (1) requiring notice of disciplinary actions taken against pharmacy staff and the facility; (2) medication integrity during transport; (3) requiring that all pharmacy staff be provided with a copy of the Kentucky regulations; and (4) requiring that all pharmacists working in non-resident pharmacies be licensed in Kentucky. The Board heard the report but did not take any action nor have any discussion. The Executive Director confirmed that Board staff continues to research and review the proposed non-resident pharmacy permit regulations.
