Spheres of Responsibility
While Nancy has handled environmental matters—litigation and transactional—for over 30 years, she has taken on several important leadership responsibilities inside the firm as well. She is a former elected member of the firm’s 10-person governing Executive Committee, and in that role she took on several key responsibilities:
Legal Personnel Committee Chair
Nancy oversaw all personnel functions related to non-partner attorneys across Quarles & Brady's national footprint—this included the hiring, promotion, compensation and administrative oversight of associates, staff attorneys, and senior counsel.
Professional Development Partner
In concert with the Chief Human Resources Officer and the Chief Business Development Officer, Nancy worked with all attorneys—partners and associates alike—to continuously improve their professional skills and help refine their career growth. Nancy brought the firm’s many internal and external education programs together.
Before she joined the Executive Committee, Nancy established her leadership credentials as the inaugural chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee. Her commitment to diversity and inclusion continued as she assumed responsibility for the firm's strategic diversity initiatives.
