2015 campaign fundraising efforts exceed Milwaukee office's previous record-setting year
MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that it recently honored retired partner Bruce C. Davidson with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his many years serving as coordinator for the Milwaukee office fundraising campaign for the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County.
The firm honored Bruce with a $1,000 donation to the United Way, which is in addition to the $758,185 the firm raised during its 2015 workplace giving campaign from October through December 2015. This was a 20 percent increase over the previous year's record-setting fundraising campaign.
"Bruce has been a tireless and enthusiastic champion of the firm's efforts on behalf of United Way," said Katie Perhach, Milwaukee office managing partner. "His hard work and dedication has set an enduring example for the entire firm about what it means to embody the spirit of the firm's commitment to the communities in which we live and work."
Under Davidson's leadership, over the last four decades the Milwaukee office has raised more than $11.8 million for the United Way. In 2015, the United Way raised a record $60 million.
"The United Way is thankful for Quarles & Brady's efforts, which are extremely impressive particularly because the fundraising happens over the course of just three months," said Cory L. Nettles, an attorney with Quarles & Brady and co-chair of the 2015 Community Campaign. "The funds Bruce and the firm raised will go a long way in helping local organizations change lives."
