Amanda Kerr Honored by Association for Women Lawyers for Pro Bono Commitment

Media Mention

Quarles & Brady attorney Amanda Kerr received the Pro Bono Award from the Association for Women Lawyers at its recent annual meeting and awards luncheon.

A Real Estate Practice Group associate in the firm’s Milwaukee office, Kerr was recognized for her work with Legal Action of Wisconsin’s Expungement Clinic. The clinic serves the Wisconsin community by guiding clients through the process of record removal, expungement and pardons. Many of the clinic’s clients face hardships because of their records, including difficulty finding housing and employment. The clinic provides an opportunity to remove inaccurate or duplicative records, expunge records based on age and, in some cases, even apply for a pardon.

“I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside many great attorneys and paralegals at the expungement clinic for such a worthy cause,” Kerr said. “Being able to work directly with clients, and provide them with a path to better employment, housing and future opportunities through expungement has been immensely rewarding, and I look forward to continuing to work with this clinic in the future.”

The Association for Women Lawyers strives to promote the welfare, interests and professional development of lawyers who are women and advance justice for all individuals, among other objectives.
