Anne O’Brien Elected As President-Elect of the 2019 American Society of Pharmacy Law Board of Directors11/13/18
O’Brien will be the third Quarles & Brady attorney to serve as president
CHICAGO — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Anne O’Brien, a partner in the firm’s Health Law Practice Group, has been elected as President-Elect to the Board of Directors for The American Society of Pharmacy Law.
The American Society of Pharmacy Law (ASPL) is a nonprofit organization with the purpose of furthering knowledge in the law related to pharmacists, pharmacies, the provision of pharmaceutical care, the manufacturing and distribution of drugs, and other food, drug and medical device policy issues; communicating accurate legal educational information; and providing educational opportunities for pharmacists, attorneys and others who are interested in pharmacy law.
As a member of the ASPL Board, O’Brien will oversee the organization’s financial direction, the educational makeup of the fall conference, and the creation and improvement of member services. This will be O’Brien’s second term as a board member as she presently serves as Board Treasurer.
O’Brien advises pharmacies, wholesale distributors and manufacturers regarding regulatory compliance and licensing issues. She has represented pharmacists, pharmacies, hospitals, nurses, physicians, nursing homes and other entities in civil and administrative venues.
O’Brien acts as the third president of ASPL from the firm, predecessors include Edward Rickert and Roger Morris. O’Brien will take the Oath of Office in early November.
