“Bankruptcy courts as a rule are inclined to favor a debtor and give it every chance to reorganize at the beginning of the case,” said Christopher Combest, partner at the Chicago office of Quarles & Brady LLP who works at the firm’s commercial bankruptcy, restructuring and creditors’ rights group.
