Emily Stedman Selected to The American Lawyer‘s Young Lawyer Editorial Board01/19/18
The American Lawyer's Young Lawyer Editorial Board is for lawyers under 40 that serve all sectors of the legal industry including big law, small law, government, in-house, and academia. Every month, the board will work together to produce an editorial piece.
Stedman is a member of the firm's Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group. She represents and counsels clients in general commercial matters, as well as financial services and bankruptcy matters. Stedman has represented creditors in Chapter 7, 13, and 11 proceedings, assisted lenders and servicers with residential foreclosures and other collection activities, and has defended clients in litigation under federal and state debt-collection claims.
Stedman received her law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi Law School, and her bachelor's degree, cum laude, from Wake Forest University. Prior to joining Quarles & Brady LLP, Stedman clerked for the Honorable Pamela Pepper at the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
