Immel Joins Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens Board of Directors12/05/13
NAPLES, FLA. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced today that Otto W. Immel, a partner in the firm’s Naples office, has recently been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens. In this role, Immel will assist the organization in fundraising, grant making and community leadership during its previously announced expansion plan.
“One of the first things my wife and I did upon our arrival in Naples almost 10 years ago was become members of the Naples Zoo,” Immel stated. “Over the years, we have been pleased and proud to see our zoo expand and improve in every way. I am honored to join the board of directors and look forward to helping advance the zoo’s mission as it continues its exciting developments.”
Immel earned his Juris Doctorate in Law, cum laude, from the Temple University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors from The John Hopkins University. He counsels and represents employers in a wide variety of workplace related litigation. He also advises on all aspects of labor and employment law, including workforce management issues involving the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and other fair employment and anti-discrimination statutes.
Immel is currently involved with a number of local professional and civic organizations, including service as a Board Member of both H.R. Collier and Fun Time Early Childhood Academy. He also has been appointed by the Board of Collier County Commissioners as a Neutral Hearing Officer to preside over appeals of county personnel actions. Earlier this year, Immel was honored by The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce as the organization’s 2013 Economic Partnership Volunteer of the Year.
