In Memoriam: Andrew (Drew) Gleason: 1974 – 202004/20/20
Quarles & Brady is deeply saddened to announce that partner Drew Gleason passed away on April 18, 2020. Drew was a valued member of the Real Estate group.
"We are shocked and saddened by Drew’s sudden passing," said Leonardo Loo, managing partner of Quarles & Brady's Phoenix office. "We will miss his friendship and his calm and confident demeanor in everything that he pursued. Drew was a great partner and skilled attorney, and his absence will be widely felt in the firm and the community."
Drew joined Quarles & Brady in 2018 and quickly established himself as a great lawyer, teammate and wonderful person. He connected with our younger lawyers as an incredible mentor and was well-respected and admired by all of his colleagues, including opposing counsel. Drew never missed an opportunity to help a friend or colleague, and as a result had remarkable experience in many of the most highly-specialized aspects of real estate and finance law. Drew leaves a legacy for all of us to emulate. We are very grateful and proud Drew was our partner and a member of the Quarles family.
Drew received his J.D., with honors, from The George Washington University in 2000; his B.A., with high honors, from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1996, and he received a certificate from the Quarles & Brady Leadership Program at Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management. He was listed in The Best Lawyers in America® (2020: Real Estate Law), and recognized as a Rising Star by Southwest Super Lawyers (2012-2014).
Drew will be deeply missed by his wife (Katherine), two children (Danielle and William), his family, and his Quarles & Brady colleagues and friends.
