Jose Carrillo Appointed to Florence Immigrant & Refugee Rights Project Board of Directors

PHOENIX, Ariz. — Quarles & Brady LLP is pleased to announce that Jose Carrillo, a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group in Phoenix, has been named to the Board of Directors for the Florence Immigrant & Refugee Rights Project, a non-profit legal service organization providing free legal and social services to men, women and unaccompanied children in immigration proceedings.

"The Florence Immigrant & Refugee Rights Project has a long history of fighting for justice and providing legal representation to people in need. I have loved volunteering as a pro bono attorney, and am excited to step up my commitment by serving on the Board as well," stated Carrillo. He represents employers before various government agencies, including the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, U.S. Department of State, and U.S. Department of Justice..

He received his law degree, cum laude, from Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, and his bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from Arizona State University.

The mission of the Florence Immigrant & Refugee Rights Project is to provide free legal and social services to detained adults and unaccompanied children facing immigration removal proceedings in Arizona.
