Katie Perhach Appointed Judge by the Seventh Circuit U.S. Bankruptcy Court12/10/18
MILWAUKEE, WI — Quarles & Brady announced that Katie Perhach has been appointed by the U.S. Court of Appeals to serve as the Seventh Circuit U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. She takes the seat vacated by Judge Susan V. Kelley, Chief Judge.
On February 1, 2019 Perhach will begin her 14-year term. “I’m grateful for the support from my friends and colleagues at Quarles & Brady as I make this transition to the bench.” says Perhach. “I’m excited and honored to serve as a member of the judiciary."
Perhach has served as Quarles & Brady's Milwaukee Office Managing Partner since 2014. She also serves as leader of the firm’s Financial Institutions Litigation Practice Group and Financial Services Industry Team. Her representation of financial institutions extends from litigating commercial loan enforcement matters to defending financial institutions against lender liability claims. She is an active community leader and has been recognized for her pro bono work. She spent her entire career at Quarles & Brady, having joined as a summer associate in 1999 and as an attorney in 2000.
