Michael Levey Named Finalist for BizTimes Media Corporate Volunteer of the Year

News Release

Milwaukee – National law firm Quarles & Brady announced today that Michael A. Levey, the firm’s national pro bono partner and a member of the Health & Life Sciences Group, was named by Milwaukee-based BizTimes Media as a finalist for its Corporate Volunteer of the Year award.

Honorees were recognized this morning at BizTimes Media’s annual Nonprofit Excellence Awards program.

Levey, who has helped guide the firm’s overall national pro bono efforts as the national pro bono partner since 2014, was nominated for the BizTimes Media award specifically for his work in support of the Wisconsin Equal Justice Fund (WEJF). A WEJF board member since 2016 and board president in 2019, Levey has helped the organization significantly enhance its corporate fundraising efforts and championed WEJF’s cause across the state.

“As a firm, we take seriously our obligation to provide pro bono legal services to those in need in the communities where we work and live,” said Mike Aldana, firm managing partner. “Mike has long demonstrated a deep personal commitment to several pro bono causes and his leadership in recent years has helped strengthen this value with our team.”

The BizTimes Media Nonprofit Excellence Awards are designed to shine a light on the community impact of southeastern Wisconsin nonprofits. The program also salutes the work of for-profit organizations, executives and professionals who donate their time, talent and treasure to community causes. Dozens of nominations were submitted for the program this year, and 25 finalists were named in 10 different categories.
