Nicole Stanton Listed in 50 Most Influential Women in Arizona Business

PHOENIX, ARIZ. - The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Nicole France Stanton, a partner in the firm's Phoenix office, has been named to the 50 Most Influential Women in Arizona Business list by Az Business Magazine for 2013.

The 50 Most Influential Women are changing the face of Arizona business. They have procured influence in their respective fields through hard-earned track records of profitability, innovation, business ethics and leadership. Az Business compiled a list of more than 500 women from every facet of Arizona's business landscape. The list was vetted down to 100 women and sent to 20 of their peers, female leaders from a variety of industries, who were asked to vote with the option of writing in a name of someone not on the list. The final list features women who hail from all walks of life and conduct business in industries of every trade. All 50 women will be honored at a cocktail party on August 22 in Scottsdale and are featured in the July issue of Az Business.

Stanton is a member of the Quarles & Brady Commercial Litigation Group. Her experience includes defense of local and national law firms in legal malpractice actions and other business litigation disputes. She also is a member of Charter 100 Women, serves as a founding board member and past president of the Women's Metropolitan Arts Council of the Phoenix Art Museum, and she is an adjunct professor at Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, teaching Professional Responsibility. Within the past year, Stanton was named a Dynamic Woman in Business by the Phoenix Business Journal, received the 2013 Judge Learned Hand Emerging Leader Award from the American Jewish Committee, Arizona Chapter, and was named Man and Woman of the Year with husband Mayor Greg Stanton and received a Readers Choice Award in the category of Outstanding Service by a Woman by Echo Magazine. In 2012, she created the award-winning Stop Bullying AZ to bring awareness of the issue of bullying.

A graduate of Valley Leadership Class XXIX, Stanton was the YWCA of Maricopa County's 2011 Tribute to Women honoree. She received her law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Arizona and her bachelor's degree from the University of Utah.
