Parwana Noorzad featured in article “Legacy House Names New Board Members”

Legacy House, a nonprofit agency that provides counseling and advocacy services to adults and children who are victims of violence, announces three new members appointed to its Board of Directors.

  • Paula Reiss, RN, IU Health; Indiana University School of Nursing. Reiss is a nurse and an educator. She is a long-time volunteer and supporter of Legacy House and is one of the five founders of Legacy House, which opened in 2001.
  • Parwana Noorzad, attorney, Quarles & Brady, LLP. Noorzad is a former prosecutor with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office where she worked closely with victims of violence, including children, and tried more than 100 felony cases to resolution.
  • Kimberly Garrett, RN, Community Health Network. Garrett, a health practice administrator and nurse, brings both clinical and business management skills to the Legacy House board.

Legacy House offers a wide range of services for victims of violence, including crisis intervention, individual and family trauma counseling, support groups, victim advocacy and social service referrals. Legacy House services are free.
