Patent Attorney Leonidas Boutsikaris Joins Quarles & Brady as Of Counsel in Washington, D.C., Office10/08/21
October 8, 2021 (Washington, D.C.) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that patent law attorney Dr. Leonidas Boutsikaris has joined the firm as of counsel in its Washington, D.C., office. He was previously at an intellectual property law firm in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Boutsikaris' practice involves all phases of patent preparation and prosecution, including appellate practice before the United States Patent Trial and Appeal Board. He is a former primary patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and regularly conducts interviews with USPTO examiners in order to better understand the examiners’ positions and expedite the prosecution of applications on behalf of his clients.
Dr. Boutsikaris has experience in patent prosecution in high technology fields, including optical devices, lasers, optical waveguides, lighting systems, semiconductors, liquid crystal displays, optical sensors, medical devices, wireless communications and solar cells. He holds a B.S. degree from the National University of Athens, Greece, M.S. degrees from the University of Michigan, and the university of Maryland, M.S.E and Ph.D. degrees from the Johns Hopkins University and a J.D. degree from the Catholic University of America.
