News Release

Milwaukee — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Mary Ann Murray, a partner in the firm's Chicago office, has been named national chair of the Real Estate Practice Group, effective October 1.

Murray succeeds Kevin Delorey, who has served as national chair of the group since 2017 and will retire September 30, and Derek Neathery, who has served as the group's vice-chair. Neathery will continue his highly regarded real estate practice in Chicago.

"Having led the Chicago real estate group, Mary Ann is already a well-respected and proven leader at the firm," said Mike Aldana, firm managing partner. "Kevin and Derek helped build real momentum within our Real Estate Practice Group, and I'm confident Mary Ann will drive continued growth for the team in the years ahead."

Murray focuses her practice on complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing transactions, real estate development, and construction documentation. She advises clients in the acquisition and disposition of commercial properties as well as the negotiation of development and construction agreements. Additionally, Murray has significant experience in drafting and negotiating leases, on behalf of both landlords and tenants, for office, retail, and industrial properties.

"Our real estate team is world class with experienced, talented and diverse attorneys" said Murray. "I am honored to be selected to lead such an outstanding team."
