Quarles & Brady Appoints Cathleen Yu as Phoenix Office’s Business Law Practice Group Chair

PHOENIX — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Phoenix partner Cathleen T. Yu has been named the chair of the Phoenix office’s Business Law Practice Group. In addition to this new role, Yu also serves as the Chair of the Investor Services Team.

Yu represents institutional investors including tax-exempt organizations such as foundations, universities, pension funds and hospitals in connection with their investment activities. She also represents clients in mergers and acquisitions, securities and other business transactions in industries including health care, restaurant, education, financial services, manufacturing and technology.

In addition to serving as Chair of the Investor Services Team and Phoenix Business Law Practice Group, Yu is on the Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Finance Committee of Children’s Action Alliance. She is also a volunteer pro bono attorney at Wills for Heroes and Volunteer Lawyers Program of Community Legal Services and the Maricopa County Bar Association and is a member of several community bar associations and organizations.

Yu received her law degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School and her bachelor's degree, with honors, from the University of Chicago. Yu was featured as one of the Most Impactful Minority Business Leaders of 2017 in AzBusiness Magazine.
