Quarles & Brady Honored for Its Pro Bono Efforts by Chicago Volunteer Legal Services

News Release

Chicago — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced it was honored with a 2021 Partner Award by Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS) at the organization’s annual "Law & Disorder" event yesterday.

Founded in 1964, CVLS is a pro bono provider of free civil legal aid for low-income Chicagoans. CVLS has a small staff to support a pool of thousands of volunteer attorneys from more than 990 firms, companies and organizations throughout Chicago.

A long-standing supporter of CVLS, Quarles & Brady was honored with a 2021 Partner Award for its work with CVLS' Guardian Ad Litem for Minors and Chancery Court Appointment programs, as well as for contributing expertise and independent judgment on CVLS’ Junior, Governing and Advisory boards.

"At Quarles & Brady, we’re committed to giving back to the communities in which we live and work, and CVLS helps us exercise these values," said Eric Ledbetter, Chicago office managing partner. "Receiving the Partner Award is a proud moment for our office because we have many attorneys and staff who have worked hard in support of CVLS' programs and its clients. We look forward to continuing our long-standing partnership with CVLS."

In addition to Quarles & Brady receiving the 2021 Partner Award, associate Michael Zolfo was honored as an Honor Roll Inductee for his work with the Chancery Court Appointments program. Honor Roll Inductees are volunteers who have distinguished themselves by providing pro bono services to low-income clients.
