Quarles & Brady Launches Protecting the Product, a Design Rights Blog11/05/20
Milwaukee — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that its Intellectual Property practice group has launched Protecting the Product, a blog that reports on news and legal issues affecting design-related legal rights.
Protecting the Product will highlight issues currently affecting the design rights legal field to build rapport with and inform existing intellectual property owners and potential applicants. The blog will discuss and deliver analysis on relevant court decisions and domestic and international developments involving design patents, trade dress, design-related trademarks and copyrights, and other developments in design-related thinking and product and brand protection.
"We are excited to launch our new IP blog and provide updates and insights to our clients and others interested in the design rights field," said James Aquilina, of counsel and editor-in-chief of the blog. "Design rights is a highly-specialized legal service area with a growing interest, and our team has the expertise and experience necessary to distill and report on the field's most relevant issues."
“The launch of the Protecting the Product blog is the culmination of years of work by our team to establish itself as a well-regarded group of thought leaders in the design rights practice area,” said Nick Schmidbauer, partner and chair of the Consumer Product and Industrial Design subgroups of the firm's Intellectual Property practice group. “We’re very excited to provide this one-of-a-kind resource to our current and potential clients.”
