Quarles & Brady Names New Practice Group Chairs for Bankruptcy and Estate, Trust & Wealth Preservation
01/02/14MILWAUKEE, WIS. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Brian Sirower has been named national Commercial Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors’ Rights Practice Group chair, and Patrick J. Bitterman has been named national Estate, Trust & Wealth Preservation Practice Group chair. Sirower succeeds John A. Harris, a partner in the firm’s Phoenix office, who has led the group since 2008. Bitterman succeeds James F. Daly, a partner in the firm’s Milwaukee office, who has led the group since 2011.

Brian Sirower has been a
member of the firm's Phoenix
office since 2000. He concentrates his practice on workouts, bankruptcy, and
commercial litigation, with a focus on all forms of creditor
representations. Sirower also has extensive experience in distressed
leasing matters, preference and fraudulent conveyance defense, committee
representations, and commercial debtor representations. Sirower received
his law degree, with honors, from The Ohio State University, Michael E. Moritz
College of Law and his undergraduate degree from the College of William and
Mary.
Patrick Bitterman has
been a member of the firm’s Chicago
office since 1999 and concentrates his practice in the areas of estate
planning, taxation and tax-exempt organizations. He is experienced in the
administration of estates and the creation and administration of revocable and
irrevocable trusts. His expertise encompasses estate, gift, generation-skipping
transfer, income and not-for-profit taxation. Bitterman also handles tax and
business succession planning through a variety of vehicles, including family
limited partnerships and installment sales. He is an advisor to public
charities, private foundations and individuals on planned giving. He also
counsels clients with respect to fiduciary litigation matters. Bitterman
received his law degree from Northwestern University School of Law and his
undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois.
