Quarles & Brady Partner Named a ‘Leader in the Law’ by the Florida Association for Women Lawyers06/28/19
Naples — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Kelly Davis, a Partner in the firm's Labor & Employment Law Practice Group, has been named a 2019 Leader in the Law by the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL).
"It's an amazing feeling to be recognized for who you are, rather than a specific, singular accomplishment," Davis says about receiving the award. "It is humbling to be included among so many people I admire and women I strive to be like."
FAWL annually names its Leaders in the Law to promote and recognize women in the hearts of their careers, who are making meaningful contributions in their communities through their legal service and volunteer activities, and who serve as positive role models for others through their mentorship.
Davis was nominated by the Collier County Women's Bar Association, FAWL's Chapter for which she previously served as President from 2015-2016. The CCWBA says Davis "epitomizes the qualities of a Leader in the Law." The chapter added in their nomination that she "has seamlessly managed her practice, her significant contributions to her community, and her family."
"I certainly did not adjust how I serve my clients, our legal organizations, or my community so that I could try to win an award," says Davis. "Instead, I give everything I do 100% of my attention and effort and try to leave things better than when I found them. And for those who know me well, they know I try to do all of that with as much laughter and as many smiles as possible."
Davis will receive the award along with this year's class of Leaders in the Law at the 2019 FAWL Annual Awards and Installation Celebration, held during The Florida Bar Annual Convention in Boca Raton on June 26th.
