Quarles & Brady Welcomes Leading Privacy and Security Attorney to Tampa Office05/27/20
MILWAUKEE — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Hilary Lane has joined the firm as a partner in its Tampa office. Lane was previously the Chief Privacy Officer for NBCUniversal, where she built, implemented and led its global privacy program across diverse operating units. She has extensive experience helping clients navigate the global privacy and cybersecurity landscape.

Lane takes a strategic and practical approach, working closely with clients to design and implement global data privacy and security programs tailored to their businesses. She advises on U.S. state and federal privacy and cybersecurity laws and regulations, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as well as global data protection laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Lane also helps clients develop and execute incident response plans, leads responses to data breaches and counsels on breach notification and remediation.
Lane holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, a Master of Science from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts from State University of New York at Albany. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).
