Shamika Mazyck Named Secretary of the National Bar Association's Health Law Section

Indianapolis — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Shamika Mazyck, an attorney with the firm's Indianapolis office, has been named secretary to the National Bar Association's Health Law Section.

The association's Health Law Section is dedicated to supporting attorneys who represent clients in all sections of the health care industry.

"The National Bar Association has a long and important history promoting diversity in the legal field" said Mazyck. “I look forward to working with the Health Law section to help organize meaningful CLEs, support current members, and share my positive experiences with law students."

An attorney with the firm's Health Law Practice Group, Mazyck assists pharmacies, long-term care facilities, and acute hospitals with regulation and accreditation issues. She also provides counsel on various compliance matters, such as Hospital Emergency Preparedness programs and compliance with OSHA regulations. Mazyck received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hope College, her Master's degree from Wayne State University and her law degree from Indiana University – Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
