Sherina Maye Edwards Named One of Chicago’s Notable Women Lawyers07/30/18
Quarles & Brady LLP is pleased to announce that Sherina Maye Edwards, a partner at the firm, has been named one of Chicago’s Notable Women Lawyers by Crain’s Custom Media.
This list recognizes Chicago-area women lawyers who have shown the ability to affect change in their area of practice, have served as a mentor or role model for other women attorneys and have worked to positively impact their community.
Edwards is a member of Quarles & Brady’s Energy, Environment & Natural Resources Practice Group, focusing her practice on electric reliability, water, natural gas and critical infrastructure issues.
Edwards founded both the Women’s Energy Summit and the Women’s Energy Network of Chicago, as well had strong influence over the creation of the Illinois Utilities Business Diversity Council and the Illinois Commerce Commission’s Office of Diversity and Community Affairs.
Nationally, she is recognized as a champion for diversity and inclusion within the utility and energy space. She was recently selected as a 2017 Eisenhower Fellow, serving as an ambassador for the United States in South Africa and Australia. While serving, she observed women leaders in the renewable energy space, identified best practices, and developed strategies to support the participation of women in the energy sector and the shift to renewable energy in the U.S.
