Two Quarles & Brady Attorneys Named “2013 Leaders in the Law”01/10/13
MILWAUKEE, WIS. - The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that Madison partner Sarah E. Coyne and Milwaukee partner John A. Rothstein were named "2013 Leaders in the Law" by the Wisconsin Law Journal.
The "2013 Leaders in the Law" are attorneys and judges who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, vision and legal expertise in Wisconsin's law community. All honorees will be recognized at an awards ceremony and dinner on February 6 in Milwaukee. Honorees will also be profiled in a special awards magazine put out by the Wisconsin Law Journal.
Sarah Coyne, a partner and national chair of the firm's Health Law Group represents and advises health care providers and others in the health care industry on legal and strategic issues, including regulatory compliance, hospital-physician relations, alignment and integration, health information technology, quality and safety programming and peer review. Coyne serves on the boards of the HIPAA Collaborative of Wisconsin, and the Perinatal Foundation, and is actively partnered with other health related associations such as the Wisconsin Hospital Association and the Wisconsin Medical Society. Coyne was selected as the 2011 "Wisconsin Health Law Attorney of the Year" by the Health Law Section of the Wisconsin State Bar and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® in Health Law. She also co-authors the health law chapter of the Annual Survey of Wisconsin Law and authors many updates for her clients on legal developments in the health law arena. Coyne also regularly presents and moderates panels of experts regionally and nationally on many health law issues. She received her J.D., cum laude, O.T.R., with honors, and B.S., with honors, from the University of Wisconsin.
John Rothstein, a partner in the firm's Commercial Litigation Group focuses his practice on corporate disputes, product liability, probate and real estate matters. He has represented businesses and individuals on a national and regional basis, serving as both trial and appellate counsel. His trial experience includes federal and state jury trials, class actions, administrative cases, equity actions, arbitrations and mediations. His representations include prosecution and defense of business fraud disputes, internal investigations, family business cases, construction disputes, personal injuries, wrongful death cases and mergers and acquisitions. He has been in The Best Lawyers in America® and Wisconsin Super Lawyers® consistently since 2005 and listed in Chambers USA consistently since 2006 for Litigation. He earned both his law degree and undergraduate degree from Marquette University.
