News Release

Milwaukee — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that Chair Emeritus John Daniels was recognized as a "2020 Business Champion" at the African American Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin Breakfast of Champions.

The African American Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin (AACCW) is a nonprofit organization that supports the growth and sustainability of African American-owned businesses through access to capital, advocacy, business development and strategic partnerships, and promotes economic and educational vibrancy in communities of color.

The Breakfast of Champions is the AACCW's signature fundraising event, aimed at bringing the greater Milwaukee community together to support its mission and to honor a local business leader who is passionate about economic development and wealth creation in the African American community.

Daniels is a strategic business advisor to many of the firm’s largest clients. Daniels is the firm's current Chair Emeritus and a devoted civic leader having served as chairman of both the Greater Milwaukee Foundation and the Greater Milwaukee Committee. In those roles, he focused on developing the vibrancy of the community, including diversity and inclusion. He has been recognized as one of the top 50 African American lawyers in the United States and has spearheaded a national effort around health equity that has received national praise. Daniels is a graduate of the Harvard Law School but also a product of the Milwaukee Public School system.
