Dienelt and McIntosh Selected for Inclusion in 2014 Washington, D.C. Super Lawyers®

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that two of its attorneys, John F. Dienelt and Scott McIntosh, have been named by Washington, D.C. Super Lawyers® magazine as among the top five percent of attorneys in Washington, D.C. for 2014.

Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas, who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual state-by-state selections are made using a rigorous multiphased process that includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. No more than five percent of total lawyers in each state, or in D.C., are selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers.

Dienelt is a litigator with 30 years of trial and appellate experience, particularly in franchising, antitrust, intellectual property and other commercial cases. He concentrates on complex and enterprise-threatening litigation, including class actions. Dienelt speaks regularly at programs on franchising and teaches franchise law as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center and at the University of Virginia Law School. He has been named in “Who’s Who of Franchise Lawyers” by the International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers and as a “Legal Eagle” by Franchise Times magazine for several years. He earned his law degree from Yale Law School, and he holds a master’s degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia.

McIntosh has a broad-based practice in franchise law, with significant experience in myriad business, litigation and regulatory issues that confront franchising companies. He has represented franchise clients in both state and federal litigation, including complex multiple party lawsuits. McIntosh also counsels clients on franchise relations, terminations, transfers and regulatory compliance. In 2013, he was named in “Who’s Who of Franchise Lawyers” by the International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers. McIntosh earned a certificate in executive management from the University of Notre Dame and his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. He also holds a master’s degree from Georgetown University and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Los Angeles.
