Morrison Honored by Legal Aid Service of Collier County as “Attorney of the Month”

News Release

NAPLES, Fla. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that David N. Morrison, a partner in the firm’s Naples office, has been recognized as “Attorney of the Month” for February by the Legal Aid Service of Collier County.

Morrison was recognized for furnishing countless hours of pro bono assistance to Legal Aid. Specifically, for almost two years, Legal Aid needed representation concerning the legal matters pertaining to the contract for renovations and construction concerning the organization’s new offices. The representation provided by Morrison made it possible for Legal Aid to move in efficiently and within its goals.

“This was a rather complicated and tedious project as the site needed major changes to go from an old appliance store with delivery bays in the back to professional space that met the needs of our growing operation,” said Carol O’Callaghan, managing attorney for Legal Aid. “As a non-profit, it was also important that the job come in on time and that costs be contained. We couldn’t have done it without Dave’s expertise and how generously he gave of his time. He is very deserving of this recognition.”

Morrison has more than 30 years of experience representing financial institutions, developers, investors, and individuals in real estate development, transactions, and mortgage lending. His practice is focused on representation of national, regional, and community lenders in the acquisition, financing, and development of real property; commercial leasing, including build-to-suit ground leases, office buildings, and big-box leases; creation of land condominiums for development of mixed use projects; state and local counsel for national and regional lenders including lender's and borrower's opinions of counsel; and issuance of title insurance in commercial and large residential transactions. Morrison is the founder of Triumph Development Corporation, a Naples luxury homebuilder, as well as two former Naples law firms.
