News Release

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Jeff Peelen and Daniel G. Radler, partners in the firm's Milwaukee office, participated in the Harvard Leadership in Law Firms program in May 2016. Peelen and Radler both serve as section chairs, working with the firm chair and firm managing partner to manage the strategic direction and performance of the firm's industry teams and practice groups.

This six-day intensive study of a cross-section of professional service firms is specifically designed for senior law firm leaders. Attendees learned about frameworks and strategies for balancing professional responsibilities, strategic planning, improving organizational alignment, managing growth and change, and motivating people and teams.

The classroom teaching model included a variety of different teaching styles, including case studies, lectures, classroom discussions, and small group discussions focused on professional service firms, affording participants the opportunity to deliberate on the determinants of sustained firm success.

Peelen is a member of the firm's Public Finance Practice Group. In his public finance practice, he represents multiple regional and national underwriters in tax-exempt debt and revenue financings across the country. His governmental affairs and political law compliance program has a national reputation, serving multiple Fortune 50 clients and other corporations who regularly interact with state and federal officials. He received his law degree, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as the Editor in Chief of the Georgetown Law Journal, and his bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science from Marquette University.

He has particular practice strength in patent procurement, patent re-examinations, infringement and validity opinions, and licensing in a variety of disciplines, including materials handling equipment, heavy machinery, manufacturing and molding processes, fluid dynamics, and general mechanical and electro-mechanical devices. He received his law degree, cum laude, from Marquette University Law School, his master's degree from the University of Wisconsin, and his bachelor's degree from Marquette University.
