Quarles & Brady Chairman to Speak at Business Journal Power Breakfast
MILWAUKEE, WIS. - The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that its chairman John W. Daniels Jr. will speak at The Business Journal's Power Breakfast event on June 21 in Milwaukee. The Power Breakfast is the premier business information and networking series in southeast Wisconsin. It presents headline makers in a unique format, part presentation and part Q&A conducted by Business Journal reporters and editors.
Daniels will discuss his views on the current state of the local and national education system, and the responsibilities of the next generation of leaders to sustain and renew it. In his former role as chair of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation board, the vice chair of the Greater Milwaukee Committee board and his historic role as the host of the Fellowship Open annual fundraising event, Daniels has been a prominent advocate for education as the foundation of American prosperity, racial and cultural equality, and the future of our nation as a competitive economic player on the world's stage.
Daniels has been well recognized for his support of youth education through many years, receiving a Friend of the University Award from the Marquette University Alumni Association and an Excellence in Education Award from the Milwaukee Public School Board of School Directors. In addition, the firm and the Fellowship Open received the 2012 Community Service Award from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office for its financial support of the MCSO's signature "Shop with a Cop" program.
