Quarles & Brady Expands Immigration Team, Adds Praveena Nallainathan as Of Counsel to Washington, D.C. and Tampa Offices
Tampa — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced today that Praveena Nallainathan joined the firm’s Immigration Practice in its Washington, D.C., and Tampa offices as of counsel.
The addition of Nallainathan reflects Quarles & Brady's strategic focus on expanding the firm’s national team of highly regarded immigration and mobility practitioners.
Named “Associate to Watch” by Chambers and a “Rising Star in U.S. Immigration” by the Legal 500, Nallainathan specializes in corporate immigration, nationality and consular law. Nallainathan previously served as the co-head of an immigration practice for an AmLaw 100 firm and was also associate general counsel focused on immigration and mobility for an international information services company. She has represented clients in a range of industries, including financial services, technology, data sciences, energy, oil and gas, health care, fashion and media.
Nallainathan’s immigration background is complemented by her experience in the diversity field. Prior to joining the firm, Nallainathan served as global director of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) for a large international law firm.

Nallainathan’s extensive nonimmigrant visa experience covers E-3, H-1B, H-3, L-1, J-1, O-1 and TN filings. She particularly specializes in permanent residency strategies, including Extraordinary Ability, Outstanding Researcher, Multinational Executive/Manager and PERM Labor Certification. In addition, Nallainathan has helped develop global mobility solutions for employees moving to countries such as Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, India and Singapore.
Passionate about pro bono work, Nallainathan has a long-standing commitment representing children in asylum and Special Immigrant Juvenile applications for Kids in Need of Defense.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University, a master's in social work from Columbia University and a Juris Doctor from Rutgers University.
