Quarles & Brady Receives Perfect Score from Human Rights Campaign’s 2015 Corporate Equality Index

News Release

MILWAUKEE, WI — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that the firm has received a perfect score of 100 points from Human Rights Campaign’s 2015 Corporate Equality Index.

The Corporate Equality Index (CEI) is a national lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workplace equality report on corporate policies and practices. The firm’s score reflects a commitment to the LGBT workplace equality. This is the thirteenth year for this annual report.

“We are thrilled to have received a perfect score of 100 points,” said George Marek, Partner and LGBT Affinity Group Leader. “We strive to have a commitment to diversity and inclusion and we are truly thrilled to be recognized by the HRC.”

The CEI categories in the report included equal employment opportunities for benefits, health care, training and resources, public engagement, and responsible citizenship. The ratings will be published on November 24 in HRC’s “Buying Guide for Equality”. This is the first year the firm has received a perfect score of 100 points. In 2014, the firm received a score of 90, and in 2013 received a score of 85.

"In order to achieve a perfect score, a company has to show a deep and serious commitment to treating their LGBT employees fairly and equally on the job. We also look at whether a company is speaking out in the public square to advocate for LGBT equality here in this country and around the world," said HRC President Chad Griffin. "Quarles & Brady not only meets these standards, it goes above and beyond the call of duty, making commitment to equality a fundamental aspect of its corporate values."
