Sarah Ames Joins Quarles & Brady’s Chicago Office

CHICAGO, ILL. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Sarah Ames has joined the firm’s Chicago office as a partner in the Business Law Practice Group.

Prior to joining the firm, Ames served as counsel at Thiedmann & Edler in Chicago. She specializes in representing multinational companies, and primarily German-speaking companies and their U.S. subsidiaries, with regard to corporate, commercial, employment and immigration matters. Her experience includes advising companies on incorporating restructuring, merging legal entities and corporate governance; counseling on agreements, including terms and conditions of sale, lease agreements and sales and distribution agreements; advising clients on employment agreements, handbooks and disciplinary action; and counseling companies on transferring and hiring foreign nationals and filing business visa applications.

Ames attended the University of Hamburg School of Law in Hamburg, Germany and received both her law degree and master’s degree in German Literature from the University of Alabama.
