Three Attorneys Join Quarles & Brady’s New Indianapolis Office

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Vanessa A. Davis, J. Michael Hearon and Michael A. Rogers have joined the firm’s new Indianapolis office as associates. All attorneys were previously with Frost Brown Todd.

Earlier this month, the firm announced the opening of its ninth office in the BMO Harris Plaza, in Indianapolis. In addition to the office opening, the firm welcomed lateral partners Joshua B. About the Attorneys:

Vanessa A. Davis is a member of the firm’s Product Liability, Toxic Tort and Personal Injury Litigation Practice Group. She has served as national counsel for a major construction and agricultural equipment manufacturer and has represented clients in state and federal courts throughout the United States. Davis also serves on and manages a team of lawyers that acts as national document discovery counsel for a orthopedic device company in multidistrict and state court litigation around the country. She earned both her law degree and undergraduate degree in Public Affairs from Indiana University.

J. Michael Hearon is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Hearon focuses his practice on advising and defending financial institutions regarding lender liability and consumer protection issues. In 2013, he completed an extended, full-time secondment during which he provided guidance and assistance in managing the litigation docket of a multinational corporation. While in law school, Michael was a staff member at the Journal of Natural Resources and Environmental Law and an intern for the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Kentucky. He received his M.B.A. from Georgetown University, his J.D. from the University of Kentucky and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Transylvania University.

Michael A. Rogers is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group. He represents clients in all aspects of business litigation, including defending and prosecuting lawsuits on behalf of large and small companies. His practice focuses primarily on competition law and unfair trade practices. Rogers advises businesses regarding the effects and enforceability of noncompetition covenants, and he litigates disputes over restrictive covenants. He also represents financial institutions and has experience litigating both state and federal consumer protection statutes. Rogers also represents financial institutions in litigated matters in bankruptcy court, including discharge injunction claims, lien priority disputes, automatic stay claims and issues involving reaffirmation agreements. He received his law degree, cum laude, from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law and his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Purdue University.
